Wanda Proctor Obituary

Wanda Mae Proctor was born September 10, 1938, in Braggadocio, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Henry Paul Hooker and Edna Mae Dodd Hooker.

She departed this life in Caruthersville, Missouri, on October 9, 2019. She was 81 years old.

On September 1, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi, she was united in marriage to Royce Proctor. They celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Wanda was a supervisor for the Division of Family Services. After her retirement, she then went to work at the local Wal-Mart as the door greeter. She was much more than the door greeter because she knew where everything was and could help customers with any type of problem.

She was a very active member of the B&PW club, RSVP, and also served as a Girl Scout leader and a Boy Scout leader. She enjoyed dancing, reading, and hosted many tea parties for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always ready to go anywhere for a good time because she loved people.

2 daughters - Paula Proctor - Lancaster, CA

1 son - Royce "Bubba" Proctor, Jr. - Caruthersville, MO

4 sisters - Sheila Brown, Brenda Herron, Cathay Fisher, Sandra Hooker

7 grandchildren - Natalie McClendon, Randi Elhard, Joshua McDowall, Meghan Rackley, Colt Hunt, Connor Riddick, Ashlinn Moore

10 great grandchildren - Phoenix Door, Jackson Door, September Elhard, Rian Elhard, Annistyn Rackley, Dean Carter Riddick, Avalinn Rackley, Daxton Riddick, Deacon Riddick, Alanna Rackley

Other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters - Linda Hooker, Barbara Woods.
