Wanda Lee Koontz
Was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on October 12, 1931.
Departed this life at Gosnell Health & Rehab on December 9, 2018 at the age of 87.
She was the daughter of the late Nelson Danley & Myrtle Frances Casteel Danley.
Attended the Caruthersville Schools.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Robert Gaylord Koontz, who preceded her in death on December 19, 2005.
Mrs Koontz was a devoted Christian and was a member of the Church of God in Caruthersville.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling and shopping.
SURVIVED BY -
4 Children – Phillip Johnson & his wife, Lou, of Overland Park, Kansas.
Garnetta Johnson – Fayetteville, North Carolina
Twila Starr – Little Rock, Arkansas
Robert Koontz, Jr. - Gosnell, Arkansas
9 Grandchildren – Greg, Jeff, Brian, Iesha, Wayne, Jr., Scott, Eric, Alana and Sonya, along with a number of great grandchildren.
1 Brother – Dr. Elzie Danley, & his wife, Frances – Jackson, Tennessee.
1 Sister – Inis Ray, and her husband, Carl – Pine Bluff, Arkansas
& a number of other relatives and many friend.
She was also preceded in death by 3 siblings.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God with Brother Jon Haywood. Interment in Maple Cemetery with Dr. Danley officiating.
