Vivian Ward Obituary
Vivian Lorita Ward was born November 6, 1938, in Hayti, Missouri. She was the daughter of Johnnie Andrew Greer and Mildred Josephine Hudgins Greer.
She departed this life on November 1, 2021, in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was 82 years old.
On January 2, 1959, in Caruthersville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Donald Glen (Goose) Ward. He preceded her in death.
Lorita was a lady that had a large wonderful personality and absolutely loved life. She and Goose lived in Bartlett, Tennessee and raised their three children there. They were very involved in their children's activities. They later moved back to Caruthersville, where both of enjoyed their retirement.
Lorita enjoyed and loved her grandchildren and then the great grandchildren. She loved being able to make smocked dresses for the granddaughters.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by three children: Donny Ward (Penny) of The Woodlands, Texas, Sherry Williams (Jeff) of Bartlett, Tennessee, & Mark Ward (Sabrina) of Bartlett, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and other relatives & many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Johnnie and Mildred Greer; her husband: Goose Ward; and a brother: Jerry Greer.
Funeral services were held November 3rd, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the H. S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Rev. Ricky Lyle officiating.
Interment in Maple Cemetery.
