Tony Wooden Obituary

Tony Valentino Wooden was born March 21, 1994, in Hayti and departed this earthly life January 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Louberta Wooden.

Tony was a graduate of Caruthersville High School after which he matriculated to Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff. At the time of his death he was employed as the Assistant Manager of One 9 Fuel Network. He had always been increaibly devoted to music playing drums since he was old enough to hold drum-sticks. His performance potifolio included: Caruthersville High School Marching Band, Gospel Temple Holy Trinity Church in Caruthersville, St. James Word of Faith Church in Hayti, Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church in Poplar Bluff, Morning Glory Covenant Ministries in Hayti and North 6th Street Church of God in Hayti.

Tony was an active young man throughout his life. As a little boy he would ride at his father's side listening to words of wisdom and because of this he acquired the ability to find the value in things discarded. He participated in baseball, basketball, football and was an excellent percussionist. Tony enjoyed sports, music, family, friends, and absolutely adored his daughters.

Tony will be missed by all and leaves to cherish his memory; his three daughters Ava Rose, Emma Grace and Tausha Lou of Portageville, MO, siblings; Frank (Deb) Flowers of Ashville, NC, Pearllean Turner of Lawrenceville, GA, Tina Wooden of Ashville, NC, Charlotte Wooden of Caruthersville, MO, Mitchell (Rita) Wooden of Caruthersville, MO, Odessia (Antonio) Wooden-Rodgers of Portageville, MO, Dorothy (Lamon) Davis of Mesquite, TX, Ophelia Murphy of St. Peters, MO, Peggy Alexander of Columbia, MO, Christina Wade of Caruthersville, MO, DeSean Flowers of Daytona Beach, FL, Kiara Jones of Washington, D.C., Paris Smith of Deland FL, Quentasia Wooden of Hayti, MO. Extended family members include Patrice Pulliam of Memphis, TN, Tyisha Thomas of Memphis, TN, Paris Pulliam of Memphis, TN, Shenequa Cash of Memphis, TN, Yolanda (Christopher) Fountain of Hayti, MO, Steven Jones of Columbia, MO and Cardnie Johnson of Hayti, MO along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and cherished friends.

Funeral services were held January 29th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Caruthersville, MO, with burial in Morgan Ridge Cemetery.
