Teresa Gail West was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on October 18, 1958. She was the daughter of Wendall Fureigh and Beulah Baldwin Fureigh.
She departed this life in Blytheville, Arkansas, on November 12, 2024. She was 66 years old.
On May 28, 1976, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Danny Keith West. They celebrated 33 years of marriage before his death in 2009. During his illness, Teresa took wonderful care of him.
Teresa was a kind, loving, patient lady. She never met a stranger. She loved cooking and took food and cookies to friends often just as a surprise.
Her greatest pleasure in life was her family. She was the best mother and grandmother. No matter what mistake any of her family made, she loved them through it.
She is survived by one daughter: April Pittle (Josh) of Steele, MO; one sister: Melanie Matthews (Al) of Montgomery, TX; one brother: Mike Fureigh (Susan) of Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren: Trucker McClish, Blake McClish (Liliana), Dawson McClish (Ansley), Dakota Pittle (Rosaline), & Kyle Pittle; five great grandchildren: Ella McClish, Sawyer McClish, Amelia McClish, Rylan McClish, & Lyric McClish; four nephews: Joseph Fureigh, Andy Cook, Patrick Matthews, & Preston Matthews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter – Brandy West, her grandparents – Laura Pearl and Roy Baldwin and Mildred Chambers, and her granddaughter – Jessie Howell.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel with Brother Jim Pilcher officiating. Interment will follow in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m.
