Tennie Delores McCoy was born in Braggadocio, Missouri on September 15, 1936.
She departed this life at Sharon’s house in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri on March 31, 2025, at the age of 88.
Tennie was the daughter of the late William R. Brown & Jessie E. Dunaway Brown.
She attended schools in Steele, Missouri.
On March 12, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri she was united in marriage to Ronald Eugene McCoy. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2007.
She was a Secretary for the Department of Mental Health in St. Louis, Missouri for 23 & ½ years.
Tennie was a Deaconess of the United Church of God in Shrewsbury, Missouri.
Her hobbies included gardening and shopping.
She is survived by one daughter: Sharon Zimmermann & her husband, Matt, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; three sons: Ronald Eugene McCoy, Jr. & his wife, Dawn, of Oakville, Missouri, Clifton McCoy of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Larry Wayne McCoy of Ferguson, Missouri; one brother: Leonard T. Brown of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; six grandchildren: Amie McCoy, Jessica Zimmermann, Alicia Zimmermann, Zach Zimmermann & his wife Allison, Molly McCoy & Eric Myers and Elisha McCoy; eight great grandchildren: Michael McCoy, Scarlett Seeger, Maxwell Muresan, Harper Muresan, Reese Zimmermann, Nolan Zimmermann, Samuel Myers and Oliver Myers; and a number of other relatives and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by Jessie Opal Gestring, William R. Brown, Marjorie Helen Adams and Kenneth Lyle Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Little Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.
