Shawn Michael Hagan was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 4, 1962. He was the son of Wayne E. Hagan and Margaret Louise Koch Hagan.
He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri, on March 7, 2026. He was 64 years old.
On August 18, 1992, in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Alice Bowman. They celebrated 33 years of marriage.
Shawn loved having fun. He enjoyed having water gun fights, playing poker and spades and watching T.V., especially law and order shows. He loved having a good steak with a baked potato and then a piece of chocolate cake to finish the meal off with.
He loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife: Alice Hagan; his mother: Margaret Hagan; two sons: Michael Wayne Hagan and Shawn Aaron Hagan; a stepdaughter: Joezette Ayers; a stepson: Herschel Ayers III; one sister: Kathleen Milam Hagan; one brother: Mark David Hagan; two grandchildren: Gage Aaron Hagan and Judith Delilah Hagan; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel with Reverend Kenny Lee officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
