Scott Henley Obituary
Scott Kevin Henley was born July 14, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Mary Frances Carter Hilliard.
He departed this life in Steele, Missouri on October 7, 2020. He was 61 years old.
Scott was a devoted EMT for 43 years. He was known by "Scooter" to everyone in the EMT community. He loved his job and all the people he not only was able to help but get to know.
He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard.
Scott loved reading and studying American history and world history. He could tell you anything you wanted to know about current and past United States presidents. He also had a passion for music and played the guitar. Another favorite of his was Mexican food!

1 daughter - Stephanie Lucille McLaurin and her husband, Tommy - Ellisville, MS
1 son- Benjamin Lee Henley and his wife, Amber - Ellisville, MS
5 grandchildren - Joseph, Jacob, Allison, Cameron and Anna
A very special lady friend - Tina Forbs - Paragould, AR
A sister - Dawne Rayelle Hilliard - Aberdeen, WA
3 aunts - Barbara Carter Busby - Caruthersville, MO

Rebecca Makowski - Hartsfield, SC
An uncle - John Carter - Charlotte, NC
numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his mother - Fran Hilliard and his step father - Ray Hilliard
Memorial services were held Oct. 17, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Kenny Lee in the H.S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri.
H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
