Sammy William Melton

Sammy William Melton was born in Calhoun, Mississippi, on July 2, 1956. He was the son of Frank Melton and Agnes Robertson.

Sammy departed this life at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri, on January 30, 2026.

He was 69 years old.

On March 7, 2025, in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Hall.

Sammy had a heart of gold. He was always willing to help anyone that needed anything. He had a big sense of humor. He took great pride in his yard. In addition to working on the farm, he also spent time as a trucker.

In addition to his family, he loved his dog, Bullet.

He is survived by his wife: Sandra Melton; his children: Lisa and Jason; three brothers: James Simpson (Sheila), Morris Melton, and Billy Joe (Goat) Morphis; one sister: Jeanette Melton; his nieces: Rebecca, Donna Sue, Kelly Jo, and Elizabeth; his ex-wife: Brandy Melton; and some very special friends: Brett Youmans, Franklin Travis, Bryan McMahon, Angelica McMillen, Robert Jackson, Steve Brown, and Johnny and Carla Armstrong; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
