Ruby Joyce House was born August 7, 1931, at Gibson Bayou, Missouri. She was the daughter of Albert Lee Bizzle & Bessie B. Lane.
She departed this life at Jackson/Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee, on June 15, 2022. She was 90 years old.
On August 6, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Charles Edward House. They celebrated 71 years of marriage.
Joyce and Charles worked together at House Supermarket for many years and then at House Car Sales.
Joyce was a dedicated bargain treasure hunter.
She dearly loved her family and was blessed to be able to go on vacations with her kids and her grandkids.
She was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband: Charles House of Caruthersville, Missouri; one daughter: Gayla House Childress (Richard) of West Lebanon, Indiana; one son: Joe House (Brook) of Terrell, Texas; three grandchildren: Christopher Childress (Kim), Emily Shotwell (Joseph), & Carrie Nolen (Tyler); six great grandchildren: Trystan Childress, Evie Childress, Katherine Shotwell, Payton Shotwell, Emma Nolen, & Hudson Nolen; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held June 18, 2022, in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Jon Pruitt officiating. Interment in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri.
