Ronald Wells was born August 9, 1957 to Thelma Bates and William Wells.
Ronald attended Caruthersville High School and later served in the U.S. Army.
Ronnie, later in life, took on the occupation of painting and was well known for painting many houses, given the name “Paint Man” by his nephew, Alphonso Bates.
On November 17, 2019, in Springfield, Missouri, he made his transition.
He is preceded in death by his beloved brother, William Ray Bates, one great-niece, Fontavia Bates, and two sons, Richard and Ronald Kimble.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Thelma Bates of Caruthersville, MO, two sisters, Marian Bates and Renee Bates of Caruthersville, MO, one son, Kevin Wells of Dyersburg, TN, one daughter, Shamela Bates of Michigan. He also leaves his beloved fiancee, Betty Southern of Springfield, Mo and a very special friend, Bobby Lockridge.
