Ronald Brodie Obituary

Ronald Eugene (Ronnie) Brodie was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, on October 5, 1953. He was the son of James Brodie and Maxine Holmes Brodie.

He departed this life at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was 70 years old.

On July 3, 1992, in Caruthersville, MO he was united in marriage to Tammy Jo Fisher. They celebrated 32 years of marriage.

Ronnie had a huge personality. He loved fishing, football, adventures, and food. One of his favorite places, Reelfoot Lake, combined fishing and eating!

Ronnie dearly loved his family, especially the kids. That love he had for them also came right back to him from them.

He is survived by his wife: Tammy Brodie of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; four sons: Ronald Brodie, Jr (Whitney) of Ripley, Tennessee, Kelly Brodie (Tiffany) of Cooter, Missouri, James Brodie (Hailey) of Mumford, Tennessee; Larry Fisher, Jr. (Lavonda) of Cooter, Missouri; a bonus daughter: Christine Hinton of Beach, North Dakota; one sister: Debbie Brodie Conway of Greenwood, Mississippi; two brothers-in-law: Larry Fisher of Cooter, Missouri, and Brannon Fisher of Mississippi; a special sister-in-law:  Stephanie Hundhausen; sister-in-law: Angela Campbell; his mother-in-law: Cathay Fisher of Caruthersville, Missouri; eleven grandchildren - Bayli Green, Kaleigh Fisher, Larry Fisher III, Kamden Brodie, Drake Brodie, Gauge Brodie, Rhiannon Brodie, Lily Jo Brodie, Briggs Kirk, Addyson Brodie, and Emma Brodie; and many other relatives including nieces and nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his bonus mother - Lola Brodie, three sisters - Barbara Hall, Jacquline Brodie, Darla Brodie, and two brothers - Charles Brodie and Tony Brodie.

Memorial services will be Monday, July 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00.

The family requests memorials be given to Parkinson Research.
