Roberta Fay Bolan was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, on December 16, 1951. She was the daughter of Edward Myers and Agnes Clark Mayfield.
She departed this life in Jackson, Tennessee on December 3, 2022. She was 70 years old.
Roberta was a hard working lady. She worked at Brown Shoe for many years until it closed. After Brown Shoe she had many different jobs including working as a waitress and driving a taxi. Roberta loved drinking a good cup of coffee all day long. She enjoyed crocheting, playing rummy, working in her garden, and taking care of all kinds of animals. Her greatest love was for her family including her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Survived by four children: Terry Von Blagg, Angela Fay Juarez, Teresa Dian (Juan) Sanchez, & Russell Aaron (Tonya Kay) Bolan; two sisters: Sandra Hall & Linda Nichols; three brothers: Jimmy Myers, William Myers, & Clifford Myers; 25 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two children - Frederick Blagg and Francetta Lacey.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 12:00 pm in the H. S. Smith Chapel with Reverend Kenny Lee officiating. Interment followed in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri. H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
