Robert Moore Obituary

Robert Kenneth “Trim” Moore was born in Hayti, Missouri, on March 10, 1956. He departed this life at the Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett on July 28th, 2022, at the age of 66. He was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Moore & Ruby Chappell Moore.

Trim attended the Caruthersville Schools, graduating in the High School Class of 1974. He was a maintenance worker with Lakeside in Memphis for over 20 years prior to his retirement.

He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and also loved the Memphis Redbirds, Memphis Grizzlies basketball, Memphis Tigers football, Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Blues hockey team. Trim also enjoyed playing golf and watching golf tournaments on television.

Trim had a love for music, especially guitarists, and always wanted to be one. He did play a mean air guitar until buying a real Keith Urban guitar and still has it to this day. He also loved airplanes and flying, the Andy Griffith show (he could even recite all of the episodes by heart), Ford Hot Tamales, and sweets. He loved his family and friends very much and often missed his Missouri friends and family.

Michelle was the true love of his life and his very best friend and had two children through love, Cynthia and James.

He was of the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by his fiance: Michelle C. Poole of Memphis, Tennessee; two children: Cynthia Poole & James Kelley (Tori); one brother: Don (Donna) Moore of Ridgely, Tennessee; two sisters: Verna (Jim) Turnbow of Kennett, Missouri & Janie (Bruce) Milum of Caruthersville, Missouri; four nephews: Rex (Melissa) Moore, Ben (Noelle) Turnbow, Michael Turnbow and Cameron Milum; one niece: Natalie (Wil) Keiser; and a number of other relatives and many, many friends.

Trim was also preceded in death by a brother, H. P. Moore, and one nephew, Steve Moore.

Funeral services were held August 6th, 2022, in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Brother Doug Wahls officiating. Interment followed in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri. H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
