Rebekah Avery Riley was born in Hayti, Missouri, on October 25, 1960. She was the daughter of Dr. William O. Bryant and Marjorie E. Wilson Bryant.
She departed this life at her home in Hayti, Missouri, on May 6, 2025. She was 64 years old.
Rebekah was a remarkable woman, a dedicated and compassionate nurse who bravely continued her work throughout the challenging times of COVID-19 pandemic. Her commitment for caring for others was a testament to her selfless nature.
Beyond her professional life, Rebekah’s greatest joy was found in the unconditional love she shared with her three magnificent Great Danes, Lola, Atticus, and Luca, and her horse, Mr. Cool. Many of you will remember the sight of Rebekah, her face beaming, as she took her cherished “babies” – Lola, Atticus, and Luca – on their adventures. The staff at the local McDonald’s and Pizza Hut, among others, fondly remember her and the joy her dogs brought to their days. These simple moments perfectly capture the essence of Rebekah: a warm, generous spirit who spread kindness wherever she went.
Rebekah’s absence will be deeply felt by countless individuals whose lives she touched. She was a loving sister, a devoted daughter, and a loyal friend, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer unwavering support. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to her three sisters – Margie, Susan and Whitney, other relatives and many friends.
