Raenita Berry Obituary

Raenita Lea Berry was born November 16, 1955, in Hayti, Missouri.  She was the daughter of I.G. Manley and Louise Weaver Manley.

She departed this life at home on February 21, 2026.  She was 70 years old.

On April 20, 1973, in Caruthersville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Henry Berry.  They celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Raenita worked for many years at Prescription Drug Store but retired so that she could take care of grandkids.  Being “Nanny” was her absolute favorite thing.

Raenita had some special lifelong friends.  These ladies would often gather on Friday nights for a “hen party” at Raenita’s house.  These ladies – Tina Slentz, Kim Parsley, Sheila Baird, Nancy Sullivan, Patricia Gregory, Kristy White, and Karla McDonald – are often referred to as the “crazy ladies.”

She is survived by her husband: Henry Berry; two daughters: Nikki Riggs and her husband, Adam, & Cara Beth Reno; one brother: Ronnie Manley; one sister-in-law: Daronda Chase; five grandchildren: Brandon Riggs, Sam Riggs, Lauren Riggs, Ford Riggs & Andrew Reno; two great grandchildren: Riley & Mason; one niece: Jessica and her husband, Monty, and their children, Sarah & Glen; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister – Sharon Fielder, and a grandson – Austin Reno.
