Was born in Hayti, Missouri on December 7, 1930.
Departed this life at Mercy Hospital-Jefferson in Festus, Missouri on May 7, 2019 at the age of 88.
She was the daughter of the late Elmer & Lorene Price Simmons.
Attended schools in Hayti, Missouri.
On August 8, 1948 in Piggott, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Robert Howard McVey. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2013.
She worked for the Brown Shoe Company in Caruthersville and was also a Beautician.
Peggy's family was her main interest, along with going fishing with Bob.
Peggy was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church of Caruthersville.

Robert McVey & his wife, Roxanna
1 Daughter – Ronda Hill & her husband, Allen
Grandchildren - Shane Hill
Bryan McVey & his wife, Katie,
Wesley McVey & his wife, Kimmie
Nick Hill & his wife, Tina
Zac McVey & his wife, Mandy
Great Grandchildren - Issabella Hill, Connor McVey, Addisyn McVey, Weston McVey, Christian Hill, Coleson Hill, Caden Hill and Ethan McVey.
& a number of other relatives and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by 1 Brother, Bill Simmons, and 1 Great Grandson, Ace McVey.
Funeral services were held May 11 at 12:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
