Pearlie Ree McHarland was born in Mississippi on September 29, 1940. Her sunset was on July 10, 2024, in Kennett, Missouri.
Pearlie and Postell McHarland were united in marriage in 1999, in Arkansas. They raised a big family.
She leaves these family members to mourn her “going home”: husband – Postell McHarland; a son – Bobby Joyner (Mildred); seven step-children – Jr, Benny, Carolyn (Dennis), Renee, Josie (Phillip), Tiffany and Tyrone (Brighty), five adopted children – Syreena (Jessica), Bubba, Roc (Harley), Trey and Shea (Jered); and a host of other family members and many friends.
She was preceded by her parents – Eddie B. Joyner, Sr. and Dora Grace Brooks, four children – Eddie Louise Jones, Gracie Mae Samuels, Larry Sanders, Tommy Sanders, her mother-in-law – Margeret Carter, grandson – Thomas Ray, a brother – Eddie B. Joyner, Jr., five great grandchildren – Honesty Fonda, Kwaundellisha Thompson, Javarious Thompson, Ellis S. Thompson, and Baby J; and brother-in-law – Wayne Carter and Bobby Coleman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Morning Star Church in Steele, Missouri, with Pastor Hill officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Morgan Ridge Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri.
