Otis “Spark” Obituary

Otis Cook Black "Spark" was born to the late Bobby Joe Carter and Gloria Black on October 1, 1976 at Pemiscot Memorial in Hayti, MO. He departed this earthly life on December 11, 2020.

Otis developed a passion for construction in which he assisted his father. He also had a passion for cutting hair and making rap music.

Otis Black is preceded in death by his late father, Bobby Joe Carter; four sisters, Barbara Ann Black, Maria Black, Glenda Gooden, and Priscilla Crowley; and two beloved grandmothers Pearline Black and Vagie Mae Carter.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Amy Black; loving mother, Gloria Black; two daughters, Lakendra Black of Council Bluff, IA and Osha Hunt of Caruthersville, Mo; three sister, Marian Bates and Renee Bates of Caruthersville, Mo, and Tanisha Edwards of Rosedale, MS; six brothers, Bobby Black, Prince Black, and Dontay Wiley, all of Caruthersville, MO, Bobby Carter, Lonnie Carter, and Michael Carter all of Jersey City, NJ. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, a host of friends, and a very special friend, Amanda and very special cousin, Beverly Taper Austin.
