Mondra June (Burton) Hanchulak

Mondra June Hanchulak was born in Cooter, Missouri, on February 9, 1945.  She was the daughter of I.V. Burton and Fredda Mae Forsythe Burton.

She departed this life in Caruthersville, Missouri, on December 31, 2024.  She was 79 years old.

On June 8, 1962, in Phoenix City, Alabama, she was united in marriage to Victor Hanchulak, Jr.  He preceded her in death. 

June loved digging into family history.  She was known for her detail genealogy work which she shared with all the family.

She enjoyed traveling, with the beach being her favorite.  She also loved to spend time doing yard work.  Spending time with family was very important to her.  This included not only the grandchildren and great grandchildren but also her sisters. 

She is survived by one son: Victor Hanchulak III and his wife – Annette; one daughter: Gina Harrison and her husband – Doug; four sisters: Rita Nichols, Shirley Gudehus, Darla Overton, and Peggy Lopez; two brothers: Larry Burton and Billy Don Burton; five grandchildren: Victor IV, Scott, Chelsea, Olivia, and Garrett; three great grandchildren: Adalina, Aylabella, and Kaliana; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 3 sisters – Linda Shelton, Deborah Burton, and Jackie Cavitt.

Memorial services will be held in Richmond, Virginia.
