Miles Lewis Obituary

Miles Eugene Lewis was born January 10, 1942, on the Lewis Farm in Braggadocio, Missouri. He was the son of Frances Eugene Lewis and Hallie Belle Vardell Lewis. He departed this life May 14, 2022, in Blytheville, Arkansas. He was 80 years old.

Miles was a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church where he was baptized on March 22, 1953.

On December 25, 1960, in Cooter, Missouri he was united in marriage to Claudia Ann Landrum. They celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Miles loved family time. This involved lots of stories being told with lots of jokes. He also loved talking history. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife: Claudia Lewis of Braggadocio, MO; five children: Debbie Lewis Cagle (Jim) of Caruthersville, MO, Jennie Lewis Mott of Braggadocio, MO, Karen Lewis Gordon of Hayti, MO, Chris Lewis (Anita) of Caruthersville, MO, Michael Lewis of Caruthersville, MO; two brothers: Gene Lewis & Keith Lewis; five grandchildren: Matthew Mott (Tiffany) of Lake City, AR, Jessica Payne (Devon) of Lake City, AR, Blaine Gordon (Kaitlyn) of Manila, AR, Tristan Lewis of Phoenix, AZ, Hayley Lewis of Caruthersville, MO; three great grandsons: Kylar Jay Mott, Calin Grant Mott, and Daxton James Payne – all of Lake City, AR; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father (Gene Lewis, Sr.), his mother (Hallie Lewis) along with infant son, Randolf, during childbirth, his brother (John Lewis), his sister (Cheryl Bunn), his step mother (Mary Lewis), special aunt that raised him (Jewel Lewis), his grandparents (Miles B. and Nell Lewis), and most especially his first grandson (Marc Randall Fullerton) who Pops now has!

Funeral services were held May 16th, 2022, in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Interment in Maple Cemetery.
