Michael Ray Watkins was born August 23, 1952, in Hayti, Missouri. He was the son of William Van Watkins and Ruby Maxine Allen Watkins.
He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was 70 years old.
Michael graduated from Caruthersville High School.
He worked for Ermco in Dyersburg as a welder for over 30 years.
He loved hunting, fishing and hanging out with his friends.
Michael is survived by three sons: Mike Watkins of Caruthersville, MO, William Joey Watkins (Becky) of Portageville, MO, & Rich Watkins of Atlanta, GA; an aunt in Little Rock: Bob; a special friend from Kennett: Joni; the mother of his sons: Christi Watkins; two grandsons: Tyler & Kodi Watkins; two great grandchildren: Taylor & Kaiden; and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Michael Ray Watkins (70 years old) will be held Friday, December 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri. H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
