Mary Roberts Obituary
Mary Alice Roberts was born July 3, 1930 at Chute 16, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Glover Cleveland Lafferty and Dixie June McCary Lafferty.
She departed this life at Kennett, Missouri on January 26, 2018. She was 87 years old.
Mary Alice was united in marriage to Mr. James Edward Roberts in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1997.
Mary Alice was the baby of a large family. She loved being from a large family and always said she wanted a large family. She and James had 8 children.
Mary Alice was truly a wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved having her family around her. She not only had her family but it included friends of her kids and grandkids. She cooked and took care of all of them. Not only did she take care of her family but you never went by her house that there weren't all kinds of animals from dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits and anything else that came by.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 6 brothers, Bill, Bob, Grover, Joe, Henry and Johnny Lafferty, a sister, Catherine Mott and a baby sister, Edith.
Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church with Brother Steve Rodgers officiating. Interment in Maple Cemetery.
Pall bearers: Landon Roberts, Jeremy Roberts, Jeff Strawn, Jeremy Roberts, P.J. Chandler, Josh Tomlin.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
