Martha Greene Obituary
Martha A. Greene was born December 22, 1941 in Tyler, Missouri. She was the daughter of Frank B. Shaw and Catherine A. Fitzmaurice Shaw.
She departed this life on May 6, 2019 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was 77 years old.
Martha attended the Cooter School System and graduated with the 1959 class.
On June 6, 1959 she was united in marriage to William Lee Poole in Steele, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1972. On February 22, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was united in marriage to Tom Greene.
Martha worked as a medical secretary for many years.
She had many hobbies that included antiques, quilting, going to flea markets and the OVC network. She absolutely adored her dogs but the 1st love of her life was her family.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Survived by - her husband - Tom Greene - Marion, Arkansas
Her daughter - Melissa Poole - Memphis, Tennessee
A sister - Betty Blurton - Memphis, Tennessee
3 brothers - John Shaw - Memphis, Tennessee
Many other relatives including nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents - Frank and Catherine Shaw and her first husband - William Poole.
Funeral services were held May 10 at 2:00 p.m. with Russell Shaw officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
