Margie Parkinson Obituary
Margie R. Parkinson was born in Puxico, Missouri, on July 18, 1928.
She departed this life at the Southgate Living Center in Caruthersville, Missouri, on November 10, 2021, at the age of 93.
She was the daughter of the late Reuben B. Hancock & Erma B. Clark Hancock.
Margie attended the Caruthersville Schools, graduating in the High School Class of 1947.
On March 28, 1953, in Angola, Indiana, she was united in marriage to Mr. Harold C. Parkinson, Sr. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1987.
"Grammy" as she was known, loved God and people. She was the world's best Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She loved her family and family gatherings.
Her interests and hobbies consisted of art, music, singing, crocheting, embroidering, cooking and working outside.
Margie was a longtime member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church of Caruthersville.

She was preceded in death by 1 Son, Brance G. Parkinson, 1 Daughter, Laura L. "Frog" Womble, 1 Brother & 2 Sisters.
Funeral services were held Nov. 13, 2021, at 2:00 in the H. S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Interment followed in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri.
Pall bearers: Harold C. Parkinson Jr., Joseph R. Parkinson Sr., Joseph R. Parkinson Jr., James D. Bullington Jr., Eric W. Reno, and Heath Parkinson.
