Margaret Ann Reed was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, on February 4, 1944. She was the daughter of Carl Brantley and Helen Lane Brantley.
She departed this life in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on February 6, 2026. She was 82 years old.
Margaret was united in marriage to Mr. Jerry Reed in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death.
Margaret was a lady with a huge heart. She was willing to help anyone that needed it. She enjoyed artwork in particular painting and drawing.
She was a faithful member of the Wesleyan Church. When she wasn’t able to attend church, she enjoyed watching religious shows on T.V.
She is survived by two sisters: Barbara Vaughn of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Carla Lewis (Leon) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two grandchildren: Dustin and Jessica; and other relatives including nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her two children – Tara and Stephen Reed, and her sister – Carolyn Oatsvall.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Reverend Kenny Lee officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.
