Lorrayne "Lori" Sue (Bixby) Watkins

Lorrayne Sue (Lori) Watkins was born March 18, 1950, in Mayfield, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of Roger Bixby and Janice Lewis Bixby.

She departed this life at her home in Hayti, Missouri, on February 21, 2024.  She was 73 years old.

Lori was united in marriage to Stephen Watkins in Owensboro, Kentucky, on May 19, 1973.  They celebrated 50 years of marriage. 

Lori loved her family and the time she spent with them.  In addition, her beloved dog, Max, was part of the family. The time at Kentucky Lake was her favorite because the water, the lake and boating were her happy place. 

Lori was a very independent person.  She made everyone that she was around a better person. 

She is survived by her husband: Stephen Watkins of Hayti, Missouri; two sons: Bret Watkins (Melissa) of Paducah, Kentucky, & Clay Watkins (Morgan) of Hayti, Missouri; one brother: Mike Bixby (Tracy) of Waco, Texas; five grandchildren: Sydney, Elian, Griffin, Rhett Caroline, & Braxton; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held Monday, February 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel with Brother Dave Lewelling officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
