Lisa Bowlby Obituary
Lisa Ann Bowlby was born January 19, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Frank Bowlby and Shelby Garrison Bowlby.
She departed this life February 20, 2022 in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was 57 years old.
Lisa graduated from Caruthersville High School.
She was very active in the community. She starred in several of the Bootheel Community Theater productions. She had a wonderful singing voice and loved sharing it. Every year at Christmas, she would entertain the children at the library by being Mrs. Claus. Not only would she read to the children but she would also sing Christmas carols with them.
Lisa served as the Pemiscot County Assessor. She held that position since 2020 but had worked in the Assessor office since 2009.
She is survived by her daughter: Stephanie Sheckell; her son: Thomas King; her dear beloved life partner: Denis (Kingfish) King; two grandsons: Lane King & Brennan King; a dear friend: Paula Guest; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, MO, with Stan Dodd officiating. Interment followed in Zion Cemetery in Cloverdale, Tennessee. H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
