Lillie Mae Day was born January 8, 1922 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was the daughter of W.C. Thornton and Rosa B. Graves Thornton.
She departed this life on June 1, 2020 in Hayti, Missouri. She was 98 years old.
On August 15, 1948 in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Thomas Daniel Day. He preceded her in death.
Lillie worked for 30 years at Brown Shoe Company.
Her most important job was being a wonderful wife and mother to their five children then to the grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church but also attended Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church at times.
Survived by - 1 son - Thomas Daniel (Tommy) Day, Jr

17 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents - W.C. and Rosa Thornton, her husband, Thomas Daniel Day, a daughter, Shirley Ann Ault, 3 brothers, Harley Thornton, Harold Thornton, Odell Thornton, 2 sisters, Norma Palmer, Billie Bell.
Funeral services were held June 4 at 11:00 a.m. in H.S. Smith Chapel with Tommy Day officiating. Interment was in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens.
She departed this life on June 1, 2020 in Hayti, Missouri. She was 98 years old.
