Leroy Jennings, Jr. was born May 26, 1974, in Hayti, Missouri. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and cousin. He will be missed by his loving family and friends that were very close to him.
He attended Caruthersville High School and also graduated from Mississippi County Community College (now called Arkansas Northeastern College). He was employed at Trinity Fiberglass for a few years and later focused his time to live and enjoy his life though simple pleasures; hanging around with family, friends and cooking or bar-b-queing to share his great food with others.
He is survived by his mother: Gladys Jennings of Caruthersville; his brothers: Joseph Atkinson of Caruthersville, Daryl Jennings of Osceola, AR, and Tony Jennings and his wife Rayana Jennings of Olive Branch, MS; his sisters: Corintha Jones and her husband Marvin Jones of Caruthersville, Florene Jennings of Dyersburg, TN, and Felicia Pollard of Blytheville, AR; his nephews: Mitchell Jones of Paragould, AR, and Devante Bennett of Kennett, MO; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Jennings, Sr. and his sisters, Brenda Atkinson and Dessie Frye.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Sept. 24th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri. H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
