Lavonna Jean (Vickie) Parrott was born in Caruthersville, Missouri, on August 31, 1955.
She departed this life in Blytheville, Arkansas, on January 25, 2023. She was 67 years old.
Vickie was united in marriage to Larry Joe Parrott at the Tyler Baptist Church on September 1, 1973. They celebrated 49 years of marriage.
She owned and operated Shelter Insurance in Steele, Missouri, for 39 years. She loved the fact that she was able to help people with their insurance needs.
Vickie loved her family. She and her sisters made many "sister trips." One of their favorite places to go was Gulf Shores. She also always enjoyed going to the casino. Playing cards and reading were two hobbies she enjoyed.
She is survived by her husband: Larry Parrott of Steele, Missouri; two sisters: Lola Brodie of Cooter, Missouri, and Debbie Reagan of Cypress, Texas; one brother: Mike Vaughn of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one niece: Lisa Daniels; three nephews: Michael Barger, Allen Barger, & Hunter Reagan; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Velta Mae Vaughn; a brother: Charles Vaughn; a sister: Ann Barger; a baby sister: Barbara Vaughn; and a nephew: Tony Brodie.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 30th, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the H. S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Brother Dave Lewelling officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Cemetery.
