Laurie Elizabeth Trimue was born in Millington, Tennessee, on October 27, 1963. She was the daughter of Jerry McClanahan and Dorothy Miller McClanahan.
She departed this life in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on June 26, 2024. She was 60 years old.
Laurie graduated from high school in El Monte, California at the age of 15. To say that she was smart is an understatement.
On March 15, 1986, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Dan Trimue.
Laurie was a lady that loved people. She was the owner/operator of 4th Street Deli in Caruthersville.
It was a huge success because Laurie made everyone that came in feel important. She had a strong work ethic that served her well not only at the deli but also when she and Dan ran a successful siding business in Hot Springs.
Laurie was a wonderful daughter and mother but she was the best grandmother. She was also a wonderful mother-in-law.
She is survived by her husband: Dan Trimue of Caruthersville, MO; one son: Josh Trimue (Ashley) of Paragould, AR; one daughter: Katie Trimue of Caruthersville, MO; step daughter and friend: Delores Wakin of Tampa, FL; one sister: Lisa Myers of Caruthersville, MO; two brothers: Jerry McClanahan of Lake Forrest, CA, and Barry McClanahan of Caruthersville, MO; five grandchildren: Rylan, Adylan, Connor, Carter, & Corbin; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a very special, dear friend - Peggy Walker.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
