Laura Womble Obituary

Laura Leigh Womble was born December 24, 1961 in Hayti, Missouri. She was the daughter of Harold Clayborn Parkinson and Margie Ruth Hancock Parkinson.

She departed this life on October 3, 2020 in Hayti, Missouri. She was 58 years old.

Laura graduated from Caruthersville High School with the class of 1980.

On July 4, 1987 in Caruthersville, Missouri she was united in marriage to Dennis Lynn Womble. He preceded her in death.

Laura was known as a wonderful cook. She was the owner and operator of the Womble On In Restaurant. She was known as a jokester and very quick witted. Her family and friends knew her as "Fro" which lead to "Frog". There was nothing she treasured more than her family and being with them

She was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survived by - her mother - Margie Parkinson - Caruthersville, MO

1 daughter - Rachel Goodale, and her husband, Chance - Dyersburg, TN

1 son - Nicholas Lyle Womble - Caruthersville, MO

2 brothers - Harold (Parkie) Parkinson, Jr. - Obion, TN

3 sisters - Deborah Kay Dunavant - Caruthersville, MO

5 grandchildren - Kolby Gibson, Jayce Goodale, Nicholas Womble, Gage Womble, Elizabeth Matthews

Many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Parkinson, her husband, Dennis Womble, and a brother, Brance G. Parkinson

Funeral services were held Oct. 6 at the H.S. Smith Chapel with Pastor W.C. Norris officiating. Interment in Little Prairie Cemetery.

Pall bearers: Michael Lewis, Ricky Bell, Thomas Bell, Eric Reno, Steve Garner, Lee Thompson
