JOHN EDWARD PULLAM

Was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 19, 1943.

Departed this life in Jonesboro, Arkansas on March 1, 2020 at the age of 76.

He was the son of the late Arthur "Johnny" Pullam & Mary "Pat" Pankey Pullam.

Attended the Hayti schools, graduating in the High School Class of 1961. He also attended college in Rolla, Missouri.

On February 14, 1981 in Jefferson City, Missouri he was united in marriage to Nancy Rae Huie.

John Ed was a retired Postmaster with the United States Postal Service for many, many years. He also served in the National Guard.

He was very active in his community, serving as past president of the Caruthersville Rotary Club, past State president of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States and Gideons International.

John Ed loved humor, enjoying laughing and also making people laugh. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed meeting various people on the golf course. He especially enjoyed playing in Hawaii with Nancy.

He and Nancy loved traveling, especially to Hawaii, and visited every State except North Dakota.

He was a longtime active member of the Caruthersville Wesleyan Church.

His Wife - Nancy Pullam – Kennett, Missouri

1 Daughter – Selina Leah Pullam O'Dell – Water Valley, Mississippi

1 Grand-daughter – Alyssa Pullam – Portageville, Missouri

Daughter in law - Kristin Pullam – Portageville, Missouri

2 Step Sons – Chris Gaines – Festus, Missouri

Kelly Gaines – Lee's Summit, Missouri

2 Step Grandsons - Carson & Zack Gaines

& a number of other relatives and many, many friends.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Kyle Pullam

Funeral services were held March 4 at 11:00 at Caruthersville Wesleyan Church with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.

Active pall bearers: Mike Curtis, Robert Plunk, Dennis Clark, Chuck Holiman, Ronnie Trowbridge, Mike Hightower, Rich Gore

Honorary: Charles Dodson, Bob Hahn
