Joey Riggs Obituary
Joey Cecil Riggs was born November 13, 1950 in Kennett, Missouri. He was the son of the late Cecil Riggs and Juanita Autry Riggs.
He departed this life at the Tennova Health System in Dyersburg, Tennessee on March 7, 2018. He was 67 years old.
On February 1, 1969 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Deering, Missouri he was united in marriage to Doris Adams. This year they celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Joey was an excellent carpenter who worked throughout his life building many of the homes in Caruthersville and in the area. His work was sought after by many and he loved working on the job until his death. If he wasn't working, he was out riding through the county with Doris or enjoying the grandchildren and great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Mitchell Riggs, and a sister Joanne McGraw.
Graveside services were held March 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Maple Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
