Joe Adrain Crain was born August 1, 1934 at home in Braggadocio, Missouri. He was the son of the late Gray Adrain Crain and Elizabeth Marie Felton Crain.
He departed this life at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri on March 26, 2019.
Joe was united in marriage to Donna Clark in 1956. She preceded him in death in 2015.
Joe started working very young in life driving tractors on farms. At the age of 17, he started working for his uncle in construction. Later he worked at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in the maintenance department. Joe then began working for the Holiday Inn as a construction supervisor traveling to many cities. Growing tired of traveling and being away from his family, he started his own construction company. He helped many others by hiring and giving them opportunities in the construction business.
Joe served on the Delta C-7 school board for many years and then served on the Pemiscot Special District School Board.
He was one of the founding members of the Delta C-7 Ruritan Club.
He coached little league basketball and baseball for several years.
Joe was a devoted and active member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.
Joe's greatest joy was his family.

3 daughters - Adrain Crain Baker and her husband, Trey - Cottonwood Point, Missouri
1 brother - Earl Gray Crain - Braggadocio, Missouri
2 grandchildren - Shay Taylor Harbaugh and her husband, Adam - Cumming, Georgia
2 great grandsons - Takoda and Taven with a third one on the way - Taylor Ross Harbaugh

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother - Walter Herman (Curly) Crain, and a son-in-law - Bill Taylor
