Jerry Albert Pendergrass

Jerry Albert Pendergrass was born at Cottonwood Point, Missouri, on January 5, 1948. He was the son of Albert Pendergrass and Delphie Williams Pendergrass.

He departed this life in Sikeston, Missouri, July 3, 2024. He was 76 years old.

Jerry graduated from South Pemiscot High School. He joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. He received his honorable discharge on July 30, 1970.

Jerry loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed playing cards with his brothers and friends. The most important though was the time he was able to be with his family.

He is survived by his girlfriend: Barbara Halford of Marston, MO; one son: Brian Pendergrass (Dawn) of Caruthersville, MO; five siblings: Rhonda Graham (Jimmy) of Caruthersville, MO, Floyd (Knuck) Pendergrass of Caruthersville, MO, Cherly Swindle (Rondall) of Caruthersville, MO, Melinda Morgan (Clay) of Caruthersville, MO, and Kim Pylate (Jerry) of Caruthersville, MO; five grandchildren: Kayla Meador, Matt Pendergrass, Lance Pendergrass, Tyler Watkins, and Zach Pendergrass; six great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother - Danny Pendergrass, and his wife - Carolyn Pendergrass.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Brother Dave Lewelling officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at noon.
