Jerry Quinn "Mutt" Grissom was born November 11, 1965 in Hayti, Missouri. He was the son of Cletus Mott and Nancy Wolfe Mott.
He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri on March 28, 2022. He was 56 years old.
Mutt graduated from Caruthersville High School with the class of 1984.
On December 20, 1986 in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Cindy Pickens.
Mutt was a man that loved life big and lived life big. He certainly was a man known for his "gift of gab." He did not ever meet a stranger. He loved stopping at yard sales, fishing, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Caruthersville Tiger Football but his greatest joy was his granddaughter - Korey Jo Sanders.
He is survived by his mother: Nancy Mott of Caruthersville, MO; his wife: Cindy Jo Grissom of Caruthersville, MO; two daughters: Sarah Jo Sanders (Trent) Sanders of Steele, MO & Ashley Grissom of Caruthersville, MO; one son: Tyler Grissom of Watertown, New York; one brother: Jeff Grissom of Big Lake, Texas; one granddaughter: Korey Jo Sanders of Steele, MO; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cletus Mott.
Memorial services March 31 at 2:00 at Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville, Missouri with Brother Jim Pilcher officiating. H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
