Jeremy Abrams Obituary

Jeremy Morrell Abrams was born in Carbondale, Illinois, on March 22, 1984.

He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri, on September 3, 2025.  He was 41 years old. 

On November 9, 2019, in Caruthersville, he was united in marriage to Cathryn Abrams. 

Jeremy had a passion for sports.  He loved the Caruthersville Tigers, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and the Rams.  He will always be remembered as the announcer for Tiger ball games.

During high school, Jeremy along with three of his friends formed a band – AMFM.  They always thought that it would be their call to fame.

Jeremy was known as always being the “fun” person.  He loved his pets.  His greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his wife: Cathryn Abrams; one daughter: Eliza Abrams; a special niece: Dallas Prater; his parents: Stan and Karol Wilcox; two sisters: Jessica Ditzler & Heather Lebo and her husband, Robert; a nephew: Charlie Duckworth; a niece: Emma Kate Lebo; his in-laws: Joan Prater & Susan and Ronnie Prater; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and so many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents – Louis and Patricia Ditzler, and Paul and Midge Abrams.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel.

Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30 a.m.
