Jeanette Hudgins Obituary
Jeanette T. Hudgins was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on December 18, 1933.
She departed this life at her home in Caruthersville on July 20, 2020, at the age of 86.
She was the daughter of the late William Roy Thrasher, Sr. & Hattie Mae Eaves Thrasher.
She attended the Caruthersville Schools.
On August 26, 1951, in Caruthersville she was united in marriage to Mr. Harold R. Hudgins. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1982.
Jeannette was formerly employed at Ben Franklin's, Magic Mart, and Wal-Mart in Caruthersville prior to her retirement.
She loved being home with all of her family and thoroughly enjoyed being a grandmother.
She is survived by:
2 Daughters: Kathy Stultz & her husband Ron of Paragould, Arkansas, & Kelly Smith of Caruthersville, Missouri
2 Sons: Michael Lynn Hudgins of Humboldt, Tennessee, & Harold Patrick Hudgins of Caruthersville, Missouri
4 Grandchildren: Heather Key, Valerie Smith, Shelley (Chris) Sewell, & Justin Smith.
5 Great Grandchildren: Kennedy Stultz, Mikah Hill, Hailee Smith, Hadi Mae Sewell, & Kyson Bogan.
1 Sister: Ruth Ann Stimel of South Carolina
2 Brothers: Bob Thrasher of Ballwin, Missouri, & Kenneth Thrasher of Jackson, Tennessee
& a number of other relatives and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Mary Hardesty Pounder, Josie Belle Anderson along with 3 Brothers, Thomas Thrasher, William Roy Thrasher, Jr., and Gene Thrasher.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 10:30 AM in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. The interment was in the Little Prairie Cemetery. Pall-Bearers were: Ron Stultz, Michael Hudgins, Patrick Hudgins, Justin Smith, Steve McDaniel and Chris Sewell. H. S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
