On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Lorene Lee departed from this life at the age of 87.
Glenda Lorene Finley Lee was born on February 3, 1937, in Cottonwood Point, MO.
Lorene was united in marriage with Charles Edward Lee on December 29, 1951.
Lorene was beloved by her family. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church, where her nephew, Kenny Lee, preaches. She worked at the Brown Shoe Factory for more than twenty years. Lorene loved to clean her house, work in her yard, and attend her grandchildren’s football games, baseball games, performances, and other events. She also loved sitting outside on her porch on sunny days, attending arts and crafts fairs, decorating her house, and celebrating Christmas and other holidays with her family.
Lorene is survived by two daughters: Glenda Lee Huffman (Ronnie) of Caruthersville and Deborah Lee McGraw (John) of Caruthersville; three grandchildren: Chris Allen Thacker (Stephanie) of Caruthersville, Jaime Reno Dudley (Shane) of Caruthersville, and Carissa Lee Shaw (Tyler) of Vilonia, Arkansas; four great grandchildren: Chelsey Thacker Lacey of Caruthersville, Christian Lee Dudley of Caruthersville, LeAnne Renee Dudley of Caruthersville, and Charlee Ember Shaw of Vilonia, Arkansas; two great great grandchildren: Oaklee Lacey of Caruthersville, and Callen Lacey of Caruthersville; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lorene was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles Edward Lee; her father, Allen Finley; her mother, Mamie Riggins Finley; and her son, Charles Allen Lee.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Reverend Kenny Lee officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm.
