Edith Faye Phillips was born September 19, 1933, in Morrilton, Arkansas. She was the daughter of G.E. Palmer and Eula Marie Windham Palmer.
She departed this life in Harrisburg, Arkansas on November 25, 2021. She was 88 years old.
On December 23, 1954, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to William Harold (Buddy) Phillips. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2008.
Edith is a lady that truly loved her family including her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family gatherings were very important. She showed all of them the definition of hard work. She worked in the field along with her husband and then when no longer doing that, she continued to push mow her yard and keep the ditch cleaned out.
She attended the Wardell Baptist Church and then began attending Glass Memorial Baptist Church with family members.
Edith is survived by four children: Greg (Cindy) Phillips of Wardell, Missouri, Brett Phillips of Bragg City, Missouri, Tammy (Phil) Hinkle of Harrisburg, Arkansas, & Tina Babb of Bragg City, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Brandi Odom, Amber Oelofse, Bobbie Williams, Wendy Phillips, Cody Hinkle, Jarad Hinkle, Christen Hinkle, Michaela Ward, & Heath Babb; nine great grandchildren: Ashton, Zoe, Bryson, Blakelyn Faye, Colton, Caleb, Camden, Scully, & Serena Stiles; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother: Dale Palmer; her daughter-in-law: Donna Phillips; and her grandson: Brandon Phillips.
Funeral services were held November 27th, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the H. S. Smith Chapel with Brother Don Tims officiating. Burial in Wardell Memorial Cemetery.
