Don Waldron Obituary

Don Edward Waldron was born on November 8th, 1930 in Osakis, Minnesota. He was the son of the late Clarence Waldron and the late Ada Combs Waldron. He departed this life on October 9th, 2020 at the age of 89 years.

Don was a proud graduate of Caruthersville High School, class of 1950.

After high school, Don enlisted in the United States Army. After his military service, he came back to Caruthersville and married the love of his life, Louise Golden on June 8th, 1952.

Don was always very active. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the Friday night card game with the Social and Enlightenment club. Don worked until the age of 80.

Don was a member of the First Christian Church. He had many, many friends. He loved taking care of his girls and his true passion was his family.

He is survived by one daughter, Kim Parsley and her husband, Don of Caruthersville, Missouri.

Five grandchildren –

Tara Gerling and her husband, Brad of Caruthersville, MO.

Nick Parsley of Caruthersville, MO.

Paige Gillock and her husband, William of Caruthersville, MO.

Anna Beth Edwards and her husband, Brian of Dyersburg, TN.

Johnathan Harden and his wife, Merideth of Nashville, TN.

Eleven great-grandchildren –

Claire Young, Tyson Young, Trey Gerling, Austin Brooks, Madison Gillock, Bayley Gillock, Sidney Gillock, Asher Edwards, Cruz Edwards, Brandon Edwards, and Kayleigh Edwards.

Other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ada Waldron,

Five brothers-Norman, Russell, Lee, Gail, and Dutch Waldron.

Three sisters-Mary Blanz, Ann Pritchard, and Francis Waldron.

His wife, Louise Waldron and two daughters, Jill Waldron and Lisa Harden
