Dennis Lynn Rodgers

Dennis Lynn Rodgers was born in Sikeston, Missouri, on May 29, 1965. He was the son of Dennis “Red” Rodgers and Mary Lynn Melton Ford.

He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri, on May 9, 2026. He was 60 years old.

Dennis proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp.

On May 28, 2005, he was united in marriage to Jane McGraw. They would have celebrated 21 years of marriage in two weeks.

Dennis was a people person, which made his job at Caruthersville Casino perfect for him. He never met a stranger.

Dennis loved cars and guns. He enjoyed going deer hunting.

He is a survived by his wife: Jane McGraw Rodgers;

two children: Garrett Rodgers and Katie Rodgers Craig;

Three aunts: Susan Rackley, Margaret Melton, and Bonnie Miller

one cousin: Kenna Jo Wasley; two grandchildren: Grayson Rodgers and Finn Craig; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services with military honors will he held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel with Reverend Rob Day officiating. 

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
