Charles House Obituary

Charles Edward House was born April 27, 1931, at Cottonwood Point, Missouri. He was the son of Shirden Joseph House and Callie B House.

He departed this life on September 9, 2022 at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was 91 years old.

On August 6, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Joyce Bizzle House. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2022. Charles and Joyce celebrated 71 years of marriage.

Charles and Joyce worked together at House Supermarket for many years and then at House Car Sales.

He dearly loved his family and was blessed to be able to on vacations with his kids and grandchildren.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter: Gayle House Childress (Richard) of West Lebanon, Indiana; one son: Joe House (Brook) of Terrell, Texas; one sister: Joyce Kordahl of Sikeston, Missouri; three grandchildren: Christopher Childress (Kim), Emily Shotwell (Joseph), and Carrie Nolen (Tyler); six great grandchildren: Trystan Childress, Evie Childress, Katherine Shotwell, Peyton Shotwell, Emma Nolen, and Hudson Nolen; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Joyce House; two sisters: Callie House Price, Ida Mae Duda; and three brothers: Joe House, Calvin House, and Cecil House.

Funeral services held September 13th, 2022, at 11:00 in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Brother Doug Wahls officiating. Interment in Maple Cemetery.
