Charles Faris Obituary
Charles Albert Faris was born April 3, 1927 in Braggadocio, Missouri. He was the son of William Albert Faris and Bonnie Grinstead Faris.
He departed this life on December 15, 2020 at his home in Braggadocio, Missouri. He was 93 years old.
Charles Albert joined the United States Navy at age 17 and proudly served his country during WW II.
On May 26, 1950 in Kelso, Missouri he was united in marriage to Betty Ann Hall. She preceded him in death.
Charles Albert joined the Braggadocio Baptist Church in 1950 and was a very active and faithful member. He has served as treasurer since 1990 and also taught Sunday School for over 30 years.
His career included farming, teaching and working for law enforcement.
He loved the Cardinals, his church, his community and his family.
Survived by - his daughter Charla Whitaker and her husband, John - Braggadocio, Missouri
4 grandchildren - Mary Catherine Faris - Buchanan, Tennessee
5 great grandchildren - Olivia McDonald, Whit McDonald, Ellison White, Evan White, John Owen Whitaker
Many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents - Ab and Bonnie Faris, his sister - Alberta Davis, his son - Bill Faris and a grandson - Chad Faris.
Funeral services Dec. 17 at 10:00 a.m. with interment in Maple Cemetery. Interment will be with military honors.
He departed this life on December 15, 2020 at his home in Braggadocio, Missouri. He was 93 years old.
