Cathy Varnell Obituary
Cathy Ann Hinchey Varnell was born on July 1, 1950, in Blytheville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Max L. Hinchey and Mildred Kathryn Teeter Hinchey.
She departed this life on January 11, 2022, in Paducah, Kentucky. She was 71 years old.
Cathy attended school in Hayti, Missouri. She worked as a CNA for 27 years and loved her job. She learned a lot and got to help so many people along the way. She enjoyed working at Main Street Pizza where she was able to meet new people. She loved it when her regular customers would come in and talk to catch up.
She loved going to the movies, out to eat, and watching TV shows with her sister. Cathy loved playing Bingo Blitz or even trying her luck at the casino. She enjoyed spending time with family and watching Ethan was always enjoyable.
She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Survived by one son: Max Lee Batley and his wife, Robin, of Oklahoma; one sister: Terry Hinchey Evans Dean of Cadiz, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Amanda Kay Batley & Justin Lee Batley and his wife, Brooke; four great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Tessa & Tray Miller, and Emma Batley; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Max & Mildred Hinchey; her sister: Linda Kay Hinchey Leasure; and a grandson: Cristian Lee Batley.
She departed this life on January 11, 2022, in Paducah, Kentucky. She was 71 years old.
