Carolyn Ann Pendergrass was born September 5, 1947, in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was the daughter of Donald Malin and Virginia Casillo Malin.
She departed this life in Hayti, Missouri, on April 7, 2024. She was 76 years old.
Carolyn loved to cook and to bake. Everyone had a special something that they wanted her to bake or cook for them. She also loved to read and go shopping. She enjoyed the people she worked with during her time at Brown Shoe and many of them became lifelong friends.
She was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist church and loved her church family.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Pendergrass; one son: Brian Pendergrass (Dawn); one sister: Jacqueline Ford; two brothers: Tony and Robert Malin; five grandchildren: Kayla, Matt, Lance, Tyler, and Zachery; eight great grandchildren; a very special friend: Louise Gunnels; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother - Donald "Chuck" Malin
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri, with Reverend Kenny Lee & Reverend Carl Knapp officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
