Carolyn Raye (Brantley) Oatsvall

Carolyn Raye (Brantley) Oatsvall was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on June 4, 1941, to the late Carl William Brantley & Helen Lane Brantley.

She departed this life on July 2, 2025, in Caruthersville, Missouri, at the age of 84.

She attended the Caruthersville Schools.

On December 6, 1958, she was united in marriage to Charlie Oatsvall, Sr. They divorced in 1980.

Carolyn was employed as a nurse for many years.

Her hobbies and interests included working in her yard, and she enjoyed helping people. She also loved dogs. Above all, she loved her kids and family.

She attended the Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville.

She is survived by three sons: Charlie Mack Oatsvall, Jr. of Caruthersville, Missouri, Jeffery Todd Oatsvall & his wife, Patricia, and their children, Carolyn Beth & Eric McClain, and Jamie and Chris Carr and their children,  Carl Lane Oatsvall & his wife, Tammy, and their children, Jake & Erin Oatsvall; three sisters: Barbara Jean Vaughn, Margaret  Ann Reed & Carla Faye Lewis; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel with Reverend Kenny Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Little Prairie Cemetery. 

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
