Brenda Faye Floyd was born in Blytheville, Arkansas, on March 26, 1948. She was the daughter of Percy Privett and Pauline Griggs Cannon.
She departed this life in Dyersburg, Tennessee, on June 4, 2024. She was 76 years old.
On June 4, 1966, in Steele, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Mr. Billy Floyd. They celebrated 58 years of marriage as of today.
Brenda loved dancing and also playing pool. Watching music shows on T.V. was something she enjoyed. Her greatest joy was her family including grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband: Billy Floyd; one daughter: Michelle Marcrum (Johnny); one son: Bo Bridges; a brother: Sherman Griggs; six grandchildren: Jimmy Bridges, Elizabeth Bridges, Devan Floyd, Autumn Floyd, Mercedes Payne, and Lance Payne; four great grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother – Jerry Rice, 2 daughters - Missy Floyd and Krissie Payne, and a twin sister – Linda.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Chapel in Caruthersville, Missouri. Interment will follow in Maple Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m.
